Excerpt: My parents bought the Nikon Coolpix S6 camera a few years ago for something like $300. They loved it but then got another camera and gave the Coolpix camera to my brother. After he got another camera I got the Coolpix. My brother had cracked the screen so I thought I was going to get another camera, but after looking online, I found the same one on overstock.com for something like $120. So of course I got it.
Excerpt: I needed to replace my old Canon digital camera which kept getting the lens stuck and wouldn't retract into the camera for shutoff. I was happy to find this great looking Nikon camera on sale at my local Sam's Club for half off the regular price! It is a beautiful looking cameral but it is also a great little digital camera. It has no buttons on the camera except the on/off button and the camera shutter button.
Excerpt: The Nikon Coolpix s60 is an easy to use point and shoot camera . It has 10 mega pixel resolution for awe printed pictures. The screen is an lcd screen that is 3.5 inches and is also a touch panel. It is a good looking sleek stylish camera that comes in several colors. It has20mb of internal memory and an SD card expansion.
Excerpt: I am very unhappy with this camera for the price we paid. I bought it about 2 years ago for $300 specifically the WiFi feature. I wanted to be able to print directly to my wireless printer from the camera without going through my computer. I have never been able to successfully connect the camera to the wireless network. I have spoken to tech support several times and even sent the camera in and it came back as working fine. Not so.
Excerpt: After trying many cameras the past few months I have ended up with the Nikon CoolPix 60. It is a very very nice camera. I tried four others before finding one that is able to do what I want it to do. The pics come out nice and clear every time I use it. I have been taking the camera out while I coon hunt. Pics in the dark of night time come out clear as day. Colors are true and vivid. I especially like the way the camera will lock on to the face of my subject.
Excerpt: I bought the Nikon Coolpix S6 back in 2006 and this thing is still going strong and taking great pictures, with the only problem being the battery not lasting the whole day anymore if used heavily. I am not a frequent picture taker so i've primarily used this for vacations and holidays. Some highlights of this camer is the nice form factor and compact size. One of my favorite features is how quickly I can view all the pictures taken when playing them back.
Excerpt: I bought the Coolpix S6 camera about a week ago and have fired about 100 frames. I think the auto focus is dicey and slow. Good image quality, if you get focus. The Wi-Fi is slow, but gets the job done. Decent pocket shooter, but for anything serious I'm sticking with my Nikon D100 and D70s.
Summary: This was a refurbished iten which i bought as a gift for a family member. The camera works or does not work very unpredictably. The cameral will not turn on or will not turn off; the camera will turn on but the lens will not open; the AF indicator light will come on then remain on even when the camera is turned off! This is being returned for a refund due to the unpredictability of operation!
