A product review by PC World says that S6 is an attractively priced camera for its functionality and design. The three inch crystal clear LCD and its nearly 180 degree viewing capability is user friendly. S6’s built-in 802.22 b/g Wi-Fi allows wireless photo transfer between the camera and a wireless enabled PC. The rated range for the wireless operation is 67 feet. The camera supports moderate control features and has 15 built in scene modes. Color quality of the pictures is good and pleasing to the eye. However the picture sharpness is less than average, according to this review.
The zoom switch is located very close to the shutter release button. As these buttons are small, operating one often hits the other unless the user is extra careful. The Photoxels review points out that the camera is very stylish and can easily fit into the pocket of your jeans. The LCD display having a resolution of 230,000 pixels rates a favorable mention by the review. The controls for the power switch, shutter release and the zoom control provided on the top of the camera are all small in size. This may be a hindrance for adult users. The Neo Camera review is of the opinion that S6 is an average camera with moderate picture quality. The camera does not have an optical view finder. The LCD provides very good visibility at low light but gets washed out under ambient and bright light conditions. Image noise is low up to ISO 100 range. The review also points out that the battery life is below average.
