Summary: This product has some nice features -- big display, good resolution, good optical zoom, and a lot of picture modes. It can also capture video, and the battery life is decent. However, it's not very quick. It takes a while for it to auto-focus, and it takes a while for it to capture a picture. If I were in the market for a point-and-shoot digital camera, I would probably look for something else.
Summary: I am looking for a camera for less than $200. I am looking for either a Canon SD1200 or a Nikon S640. No body sells the S640. So, I pick the S570 instead. My main reason for the SD1200 is the Optical Stabilizer. Main reason for the S570 is the f2.7 lens. I finally pick the S570 instead of the SD1200. The S570 is the size of a deck of cards. It is very small. So, it is difficult to hold steady. The buttons are well placed and easy to use though.
Ok for those without a good, high quality camera phone

Summary: I got this for my wife as the iPhone 3G did not take the best pics. This camera is slow and takes a LONG time between pics to charge the flash or process the pic. It's ridiculous when you are taking pictures at a sporting event. We definitely need an upgrade. Now with the iPhone 4 and Android phones, this camera is obsolete!
Summary: Everything on this camera seems fine except the battery lasts for about a day and that's it. I also don't like the fact that I can't use the camera while the battery recharges. That's pretty inconvenient.
Summary: I bought this because I have another nikon that I love! I loved the size and convenience. It takes really nice and clear pictures but still lacked on some areas. I hate the zoom and the digital zoom is terrible! After I got it, I read a few reviews that said they hated the camera because of the lens problems and I no more read that and used my camera for the second time and got a lens error. Not once but twice in the second time I used the camera.
Summary: I am disappointed with this camera. It arrived on time, properly packaged. I am not happy with the picture quality, especially the color and auto-focus feature. I am comparing this camera to my old Panasonic I-Palm with much less zoom. This camera does have good zoom, but I have had a very difficult time getting it to focus for close-up shots. I had an opportunity to shoot a little bird close-up and could NOT get a properly focused picture out of this camera.
Summary: My review will be short and sweet. I have tried everything that I know of and what customer support thought would help to clear up the pictures this camera takes. Every picture has a haze to it. It is very rare that I can snap a pic on the first try. If I move at all the picture comes out blurry. Oh well, 150 dollar paperweight.
Summary: This isn't a bad camera. I replaced my old Sony DSW50 with this new Nikon. I was thrilled with reading the capabilities of this camera but alas it has let me down. 1. Red Eye - I have a 17-month-old that I am photographing (usually in action) but he will squint or blink the minute the flash comes on. So, I either get squinty shots or red-eye.
Summary: Camera was great, it was packaged well and came before Christmas which I was worried about. The only problem was the lens shutter did not open or close properly which was a shame as everything else with this order was good.
