Summary: The description was far from being truthful! When I received the camera the invoice said that the screen doesn't work but it takes great pictures! I was very dissatisfied. Don't trust this seller.
Summary: This camera is awful! Pictures are always blurry no matter what setting it's on and it is HORRIBLY slow to process pictures..sometimes taking 20 seconds or more! I am officially done with Nikon products as this is the second one I have owned and both of them weren't worth the cardboard used to encase the things! BUYER BEWARE!! Pretty packaging is about all this camera has to it's advantage!
Summary: I am on my second camera and just looking for the way to get it fixed or returned. The first wouldn't work - kept getting errors and so I returned (Amazon was really great about that). Second camera doesn't work after 8 months of use. The camera also suffers from poor autofocus with auto f-stop so had to fix the f-stop Now the lense won't open and the camera is generally cranky.
Summary: This is my 2nd Nikon Coolpix. I should have known better. My first Nikon (S220) served me well till my daughter dropped it from a low height, and the lens was knocked so that it would not close. Camera would no longer work. I replaced it with this model (S570). Wish I had done my homework better. Nice looking sleek model, light, easy to carry. Not too hard to use, but not easy to get GOOD pictures.
Summary: I like to think I am a decent picture taker. I have had many digital cameras but none as bad as this one. It is cute and I love the pink color but I have yet to take a decent picture. I have tried indoor, outdoor, closeups, distant landscape pictures, everything. And every single picture comes out blurry. I have tried every setting possible, nothing works. I'm extremely disappointed in this camera.
Summary: i bought this camera when it first came out. it took great out door piotures. i never really took anything indoors. when i started taking indoor low lit pictures. the picture quality was terrible. the pictures were fuzzy, when the flash worked. on certain functions the flash will not work. then if the face softening is used you cant use the zoom. this is not a user friendly camera. i would have sent it back if i had found out all the disfunctions before the time was up.
Summary: Ordered the camera on November 28th and still haven't received the camera or a refund. The camera was lost in the mail. I contacted the camera company and was advised that I should either receive the camera or a refund by December 28th. As of today I haven't received either one. I am extremely disappointed with this transaction. The camera was a Christmas gift for my Daughter and she was very sad that it didn't arrive.
Pros: Our previous Canon S50 finally kicked the bucket so we were looking at some newer cameras. Tried the Nikon S220. This camera is compact, quick on, great sunlight/daylight pictures. Video quality is pretty good for a photo still. This was the 2nd Nikon I purchased from another store (sorry Newegg). 1st Nikon was S220 which I returned after a month due to poor low light photos, slow camera reponse, and long wait between photos. Was at another store and sales person reco...
Cons: Just like the 1st one this one had a long wait between photos AND if the room or object wasn't well lit the quality of the photo came out poor. The only clear pics I have are from outdoor, daylight, or during our recent snow storm. Even using the preset settings for each specific setting (indoor, sports, still or back light) all photos came out blurry, grainy or not usable. I will never buy another Nikon again.
Summary: I had a Canon S50 since 2004, it was a great camera until I started getting the E85 error messages due to the lens getting dust/dirt when it was opening/closing. Heard lots of good things about Nikon and decided to try it. 1st one was a Nikon S230 I purchased back in September (from BJs). Pics were worse than my 5mp Canon. Lots of grain, most pictures were blurry. So I exchanged for this model. This camera I think is even worse than them S230.
Pros: Compact, light, wide angle, quick start up time, lots of options.
Cons: Too much time in between pics, blurry pics, poor performance, night time/low light shots.
Summary: this was our first nikon bought at argos £99.00 and at the time im sure i read some good 4 star reviews for this camera had it now for 2 years anyway was looking for a xmas present my wife as the older pentax i had given her was on the way out. at first this camera was ok but as the months passed little things started to annoy the way the camera couldnt always figure out what to do?
