Summary: Great value for the $69 price I paid. I've purchased about a dozen Nikon Coolpix cameras for work in the last few years. Most of them have only lasted about a year, but my employees prefer these because they are really easy to use with Microsoft Media Player. One of the batteries for these two brand new cameras wouldn't charge. I've never had this problem before and the batteries from one of our broken cameras fits.
Summary: Good news and bad. The camera works fine and takes good photos. However, this purchase replaces the same model camera purchased a year ago. The original camera, purchased last year, worked for a year, then quit suddenly. Since it was a gift originally, I just purchased a replacement model to take its place. A little embarrassing to give a gift that only lasted a year. I would not look at this as a quality item, as the brand 'Nikon' used to represent.
Summary: I bought the camera at Christmas last year. By Easter it was not working properly. The lens would not come out all the way and therefore pictures could not be taken. It spent a month in repairs after which I got it back and it worked for about 50 images or so then it went back 2 more times for repairs ( it was there most of the summer). Each of those second 2 times the camera came back not working at all… it wouldn't even turn on!!!
Summary: I really like coolpix cameras, quality of photos, features, interface, when they are working.... but getting pretty fed up with replacing them even under warranty. Seems like they could fix this. My S.O. and I bought cameras at the same time a few years ago. He still has his and I have a whole lot of cords and chargers to show for several of these.
Summary: easy to use, easy to transfer pictures to computer.screen is a good size.large enough to easily hold (I feel that some of the newer point and shoot cameras are too small to easily hold in your hands).fun color.
