Summary: Lens Error, Bought the camera less than 3 days ago. I was so happy with the picture quality among many other great things, but three days? C'mon guys. And no the camera will not work at all. I plan on replacing it today, choose any Nikon but this. They are an amazing company but this camera does not meet Nikon expectations.
Summary: I had the this camera a week and I started getting a message "lens error" and the camera would not work. I sent the camera back to Nikon and they had it for several weeks and sent it back and the telephoto would not work on it. I called them and sent it back again waited several weeks and called them, they told me it was "impact damage". The camera had never been dropped or mishandled, what ever was done to the camera was done by Nikon.
Summary: I am SO disappointed in this camera! The picture quality is ridiculously poor no matter if you zoom in or out. And good luck getting a decent picture with any kind of light except sunlight. Also, my camera suddenly started taking pictures by itself. It also started shutting itself off and the display would show in angry red letters "LENS ERROR." Biggest waste of money. Oh, Nikon, how the mighty have fallen.
Summary: The instruction book is very confusing, especially in transferring pictures to the computer; I was actually unable to do it as the book advised. My son-in-law, who is a computer analyst for the state of New Jersey, tried and the disc would not load. Finally, he put it on via the Nikon web site. I'm not at all happy with this product, considering the high price. Pictures are all right, but so are they via my six-year-old Kodak. Will not recommend.
