Summary: Totally LOVE LOVE LOVE this little Nikon Coolpix S51c camera for slipping in my purse, fanny back, backpack or camera carrying pouch. Lightweight, very easy to use, takes AWESOME photos. Focus is slightly delayed from newer models but totally acceptable for stills.
Summary: I have owned four comparable cameras, over a period of many years. This was the worst of the lot, by far. Behind the lens, inside the camera body where it could not be reached for cleaning, was a collection of dirt and "something" that caused spots to appear.
Pros: It looks good. It's light. It's got some cool features like the wifi and also when you look at the picture, it's got a cool little clicker.
Cons: PLZ DO NOT BUY. I thought it was nice and a good deal, but it's not!! I drop my camera very frequently and this would not be good if you did so too. It's made out of some cheap plastic, nothing is metal on it and can break EASILY. I am returning it because if I were to drop it, I fear that it wou...
Summary: The WiFi works with Nikon's mypicturetown.com site. Only. No direct upload to Flickr. Initially it took me a week to sign up on the website due to 'website maintenance.'
Pros: simple/fast point and shoot, plenty of modes (nice macro mode, detects faces, etc), excellent image quality, doesn't do the double-flash like alot of cheaper cameras at this price do, very nice price (even for a recertified camera)
Cons: zoom/focus issues that slow the picture-taking time (perhaps a handicap of internal zoom), WiFi a nice feature but setting it up on the camera itself takes a while, bulky recharging apparatus, proprietary USB connector when it should be a simple mini USB plug.
Summary: Here is a big deception. This is probably the worst camera I have ever had in my life and I started digital photography with a 1MP Kodak digital camera. It took better pictures than this one. I bought this Nikon as a point and shoot camera in order to take pictures of my kids.
Pros: Takes nice pictures. Easy to use. Plenty of options.
Cons: Focuses slow. Zooms in and out when its trying to focus. Not able to focus on things it should be able to. Always focuses twice. Noise automatic lens cover motor. Feels cheap. Definitely not what I expected from Nikon. Native connector is not USB.
