Summary: Purchased this camera to take on a backpacking trip through Europe. PROs: lightweight, portable, easy to fit into a small purse or pocket CONs: compared to a DSLR or larger lens compact camera - picture quality is not the best, lens got a tiny amount of sand in it towards the middle of the trip causing the camera to consistently malfunction until it eventually stopped working altogether
Summary: I know it's not a expensive camera but i was hoping it would work better than it does. I think you can buy another one at the same price and could work better, doesn't take outstanding pictures.
Summary: This is a great little point and shoot camera, easy and practical to carry around with you. Hence why I bought it. Takes high quality pictures at 14MP. Zooms in quite far, but can start to get a little bit blurry. The thing I don't like the most about this camera is that it has a delayed shutter. It doesn't snap the picture right away like some of the other point and shoot cameras. Also, we lost the charger for it and couldn't find it anywhere.
Summary: My partner brought me this camera for Christmas 2011, I had wanted it for a while and was very happy. When taking pictures I found that it was good quality and easy to use. However, by June 2012 my camera started to play up, it kept turning itself off after taking one picture and eventually stopped working altogether on the first day of our one week holiday, the lens stopped coming out and there was no explanation for it.
Summary: I bought one last year to use for my YouTube videos, so I wasn't too bothered about still photos, the video quality was fine however sometimes the audio was out of sync, perhaps that was more my computer's fault. I also had problems with memory cards, I would be halfway through shooting a clip and it would cut out and say "card cannot be read", this mostly occurred with 16GB cards but also with the 8GB card.
Summary: Product arrived on time and is worth the money, great little device. Two issues tho! 1. This was a gift for my mum and it had only forgeign user manual 2. Does not have a UK power adaptor. This was bought in the UK from the UK so not very impressed with the items in the box!!
Summary: ibought the nikon coolpix s3100 digital camera mainly onthe strength of the name the reviews and the fact that iwas getting a £130 camera for £65.dont be fooled by the recomended selling price you pay £65 and you get a£65 camera.i found it a bit flimsey and lacked quality.the markings on the buttons hard to see as they were the same colour as the buttons.i moved up from a 6 meg pixel to 14 hard to notice better quality.remember the old saying you get what you pay for.
Summary: It takes great photos and is very compact, but make sure you don't drop it as it breaks VERY easily. Nikon service is great but also expensive, so factor this in if you want a rugged compact, as this is not
