Summary: Technological advance. Excellent autofocus - but beware - there is no "force flash" option, so photos in borderline light can be blurry. I point it at a lighter spot, push halfway to freeze the settings, and then go back and snap it.
A great camera if you know what it is (and isn't).

Summary: Purchased this for a 9 year old girl who is just starting to explore photography. This has been the perfect camera for her. It is fairly rugged and has so far brushed off multiple drops and has spent planty of time in the river and swimming pools. The menu is very basic.
Summary: I was very apprehensive to get this given the bad reviews but I really needed an underwater camera without breaking the bank. I am truly happy that I did extensive research and got this camera.
Summary: I was skeptical purchasing this product because of the negative reviews, but was pleasantly surprised when I took it snorkeling in Cozumel. The camera is easy to use and the underwater photos turned out gorgeous. Battery life was better than expected. Thank you Nikon!
Summary: picture quality is adequate for internet use and 4x6's, we haven't tried to print anything bigger. The kids and I use this for pics around the pool as well as the beach. It's lasted a whole summer and fall with no leaks or breaks. Great product
Summary: We took this camera on a cruise to the Caribbean. The camera took great pictures above water. The camera got wet several times, even submerged while snorkeling. The underwater pictures were okay--a little dark, but we're not disappointed.
Summary: I just love my new camera. Good resolution. I was buying disposable cameras which cost $4 each. To develop each roll with double prints cost $14.50, for a whopping total of $18.50 per roll! Too expensive! So I invested in this digital camera, a much cheaper solution in the long run.
