Summary: My 5-year old daughter dropped it while taking a picture. My daughter is about 3 feet tall. So she probably dropped it 2 and a half feet and the sensor is somehow dislodged. The screen lets you replay pictures and shows some black fuzziness when trying to take a new picture, but is no longer functional.
Summary: Don't ever think of buying this camera. I bought it for my 8 year daughter. Here's the photo after first use in 1.5 mt deep pool. [...] . I bought it from Dubai and they don't change the camera. Idiot seller says "did you change the battery underwater?". I'm living in Turkey and guarantee of Nikon is not valid here. It is only valid in the country where you bought it.
Summary: Lots of review of this in the water, I got this for taking pictures in the rain and other bad weather so I have never had any water issues. 1. Battery area is poor design, 2 little plastic tabs are suppose to keep the batteries in place while uploading photos, yea these wore off in a week now I have to hold the batteries in place while uploading photos, very poor design. 2. Flash, why can I choose to have auto flash or no flash but not an option for always flash..
Summary: A great idea poorly executed! Love the design features which should make this camera perfect for children, sadly it's not waterproof as claimed. Originally I was looking for a camera that could be dropped or used on a rainy day, but as the manufacturers' claimed it was good to use up to 3m under water, we took it into the pool for some fun.
Summary: I bought this camera for my 8 year old daughter, and it accumulated moisture on the first use in a pool. No hatches opened, not dropped. All pictures unusable due to the fogged lens, nad the camera subsequently crashed. I got the camera replaced, and it worked well again above water. Now, on vacation, guess what. It fails sgain on first use in water. Again, not dropped, no hatches have been opened and the camera is full of moisture.
