Summary: Like other 1 star reviews on here, having struggled to get much more than a blurry mess from the camera in terms of pictures, the buttons stopped working after less than a year, and I was told that as it was over 30 days the marketplace seller couldn't help me. I won't be buying from Nikon again, and it has put me off using Amazon for cameras/electrical equipment too.
Summary: I bought this item to replace a previous one that got water in the watertight box. I needed the same model to keep on using ythe tight box, but it is no longer in production. I was happy to find one on Amazon, even if the prize was a bit higher than expected.
Summary: My Pentax film slr was still working when I swaped to digital after 25 years My Pentax digital waterproof compact lasted 6 years on a sailing yacht After 6 months, now on land, the OK button and its 4 adjacent buttons on my Nikon Coolpix S2500 stopped working but failing to get any service about that, I soldiered on. Now, after 16 months from new, it has failed completely While it was working, the photo quality was good for the cost of the camera.
Summary: I just bought this one. I am no photographer. I just wanted to buy something which was a bit cheap but still produces good pictures. This camera seemed like a god choice out a bunch of sony, canon and samsung of the same price range. I haven't faced ny problem so far except for the fact that the pictures come out too bright at night with auto flash! I like this camera.
Pros: Very easy to use, small size, good quality pictures, affordable price.
Cons: Pictures are a bit too bright when using the flash.
Summary: Bought this camera for my sons 10th birthday. Bought Nikon based on their reputation. It got several hours attention initially, then forgotten for 4 weeks. So not that surprised the battery was dead. But was more surprised it wouldn't charge. Contacted seller via Amazon, who referred me to Nikon. Sent camera to Nikon. They returned it saying no fault found, but they did at least charge the battery.
