Summary: I purchased this camera (in plum) a couple of years ago and have been overall very pleased with it. The build and fit is very good. Functions are easy to use and nicely laid out. The large LCD on the back provides a good viewing area and the picture quality is acceptable, if you take the time to try...
Learn to use the settings and you'll get very nice photos
5 August 2010
Summary: I use this camera on my job and it takes great photos, and in a variety of lighting/scene situations. It is not, however, the best in low light situations without using the flash. You can read the manual, but I find the best way to learn to use any camera like this is to play with all the settings.
Summary: I did not receive a battery with this camera, which I'm sure is supposed to be included because all other accessories were sent with camera and the camera cannot be operated without a battery. I contacted the company as soon as I received the camera and they never returned my e-mails.
Summary: About the smallest of the popular no frills, easy to use point and shoot digital camera. Nikon quality throughout. You might like a larger zoom, or a bigger LCD, but for around $100, you cannot complain.
Summary: I picked this (S220) up on sale at a local brick & mortar store and am quite happy with it. What others here are complaining about in terms of picture quality, or lack of, can easily be corrected by referring to your User's Manual (p.93)!
Summary: I've owned a version of this camera before and I'm just as happy with this one. For what I paid I love it. It's not a top of the line camera with high quality pictures but it does what I need and I'm very happy with it.
Summary: The only complaint I have is the charging method. You must remove the battery to charge it. So, instead of a simple charging cord, you need a cord and a battery "docking station" (it is included with the camera). This is a little more bulky for travel than just a simple cord.
