Disappointing

lnenigma, Amazon
9 September 2015
  • Summary: It broke, and I emailed the seller numerous times to try to get it fixed, but still to this date (since 2010 when I bought it and it broke) I have not been able to be on the same page with them and get this fixed. They stopped all communications all together.

Amazon's GREAT, Nikon is NOT!!!!

SVMOJITO, Amazon
28 November 2011
  • Summary: Shortly after receiving this camera the shutter button/zoom switch became problematic. I contacted Amazon and they replaced it, no questions asked. Kudos to Amazon's excellent customer service. The second camera developed the same problem after six months, obviously a design flaw.

Still having issues even after RMA replacement

Anonymous, Newegg
7 August 2011
  • Summary: The first one I ordered seemed to work initially, but then started having problems with the lens cover that automatically slides in and out, it would often get stuck for some reason, and there was nothing that I think I would have done to cause it to do so.
  • Pros: Touch screen works relatively well, projector feature is one of a kind I believe. Recording video worked pretty well and had good quality.
  • Cons: -Projector is a neat trick, but really kind of a gimmick. Doesn't work too well when you go back far enough to make it a decent size. -In my experience, pictures were blurry and the camera couldn't handle any motion in what it was snapping. -Automatic sliding lens cover is too vulnerable to error...

Nikon Coolpix S1100pj

mar, Amazon
4 March 2011
  • Summary: The camera takes great pictures and is easy to use. The built-in-projector has much to be desired. When viewing you think your pictures are dark and not clear I suppose for a quick peak it wouldn't be bad but I expected better.

Not bad for a camera + projector for the price

iPod Touch, Amazon
4 March 2011
  • Summary: The projector is 14 lumens but is not as powerful or as big a pk102 which is 11 lumens. Connecting it to a PC requires installing a software using a CD they provide. The projection lags a lot on a netbook.

Mukthiar Gani, Amazon
4 March 2011
  • Summary: This tiny creation of Nikon is awesome. Currently the most distinct camera in the market. The projector is super cool and the camera features are amazing. To cut the story short, A fantastic gadget.

Don't bother

J. Felt, Amazon
4 March 2011
  • Summary: Unless you're in a cave the projector is worthless. For the money there are better cameras out there. I sent it back.

Cee, Amazon
4 March 2011
  • Summary: It's a decent price for a Nikon,12.1MP,5x and built-in PROJECTOR camera. Even the projector seems like very necessary and makes the size not that attracted to girls, but it's indeed a surprise to me.

Not one of Nikons best products.

Barinr, Amazon
4 March 2011
  • Summary: I own several Nikon cameras including some very high end ones. I purchased this so I could give an older digital pocket camera to my daughter. She got the best part of the deal. Her 8 MP older Nikon takes better pictures. This camera often over exposes, ESP with flash.
