Excerpt: I bought this after my 3rd Casio gave up after many years (liked it though). My other camera is a Fuji X-100. I was after a pocket camera (that doesn't shout that you re a tourist). I wanted good results, easy video engage, big bright LED screen and in this size camera....not much else. It has this. It has full HD video that is great, really good photos but most of all I like the intelligent auto photo scene select.
Summary: The pictures are great and the menu is fairly simple. Our problem is it has a hair shutter button. It's nearly impossible to handle it or turn it off without taking pictures of your hands or nose or floor.
Summary: This is a great camera because of all of its features in a compact format. Great Amazon service and delivery from this vendor. Only complaint I have it that Nikon needs to fix the problem of the lens cover opening in you pocket and draining the battery charge.
Summary: I like this camera a lot, but watch out because the way the screen is made on the back, it's easy to chip the corners. I chipped mind the first day I had it by dropping it. The wrist strap doesn't have a little thing to push down and tighten on your wrist, so the camera slipped right off my hand. I fixed this by putting a large bead on the strap that I can push down. I have looked all over the web and cannot find a protective skin for this camera.
Summary: Pluses - This camera is very compact, easily fitting into one's pocket. The OLED viewing screen is very large relative to the size of the camera. Battery life is quite good. Image quality is very good, but not in the same league as SLR style cameras. Minuses - the LCD screen washes-out in sunlight. The paper owners manual isn't very informative about camera operation.
Summary: It is so thin, my husband carries this camera in a generic case in the front pocket of his pants everyday with no problems. The OLED display screen is beautiful and exceptionally clear. He says the only "con" is that the cropping feature is not as versatile as other Nikon cameras. He bought the red one!
Summary: I've had this camera for a few months now, and so far it's performed very well. The lack of buttons and the sweet touch screen makes for an elegant package. I haven't tested most of it's capabilities, however. BUT, this camera inexplicably has no Auto-off function. The sliding cover acts as a switch, and if you accidentally leave it open it enters a standby mode, but then DOESN'T SHUT OFF! It slowly drains the battery completely.
