Summary: I used it for a month or two, nice quality pictures and very portable. Then I took it to Tokyo with me and somewhere on the way there the touch screen cracked. It still works but you cant see anything on the screen which makes it pointless. Be Warned it is fragile, I had it in my purse, in a case on the plane in the cabin with me the whole time.
Summary: I received the camera but it is very dirty and it has a scratch on it. Seems like it was a display camera somewhere. I hope that I can get a discount for it because of that. couldn't figure out how to message you.
Summary: This is the second Nikon COOKPIX S01 we have purchased, so there were no surprises. Same horrible photo quality, but the winning features for our 4-year-old daughter: hot pink color, adorable size for little fingers, and fun features she can navigate. She even figured out on her own how to put on a slideshow to music--I have no idea how to do it. Babysitter allowed baby sister to break the first one, so there was no peace until we replaced it with the exact same model.
Summary: limits I bought this for my fiancé as a every day carry purse camera. It is better than nothing but it had a weak flash and a limited focus. For quick snap shots at parties it is great. For its size and price it is fun but it will not be your go to camera. It serves our purpose for it well but I would have been disappointed if I was getting it add my only point and shoot.
Summary: Picture quality is OK but it has an issue where it does not reliably fire the flash when in Auto mode (and you only have three to choose from, Auto, Off and Fill Flash). Even in a nearly dark environment it often doesn't flash and has to be manually set to Fill Flash. Other than that it works quite nicely.
