Summary: I'm not very impressed with this camera and would not recommend it. Low light photos are grainy and action shots are blurry. Shutter lag is a big problem. Would probably be ok for portraits but not landscapes.
Summary: Considering Nikon is praised among photographers, I decided to purchase this product! Wast of money for the line of work I use cameras for. I do music shows, night scene, concerts... etc.photos are ridiculously blurry, with squiggly lines through photos! I do not recommend this camera to anyone who would use it for live entertainment purposes!
Summary: I really wanted to like this camera, but outdoor photos often come out blurred. Indoor performance is a JOKE. The flash sometimes comes on, but not always when it is needed, and the shutter performance is painstakingly slow as well. By the time the shutter actually works, your desired shot is long missed! I almost threw this camera against the wall in utter frustration when attempting to get some key shots at a birthday party!
Summary: Got this as a gift and still months later, can't get this camera to work. I've done research online its an OS issue, that Nikon won't acknowledge, so therefore i can't send it back under warranty. Very disappointed!! I know this non working camera and the poor customer service have made up my mind to where i won't ever purchase a Nikon camera! So disappointed just wanted to small easy camera and all i got was a small paperweight.
Summary: I was excited to get this coolpix, which is so small, and takes pretty good photos. However, my frustration level rises when I want to move the pictures onto my computer. The camera, which does not have a removable memory device, does not show up on the desktop of a computer as a device when plugged in via USB. Instead, you have to download the Nikon viewing software in order to access your images.
Summary: I returned this right away. It took terrible pictures. They were all yellow and icky, reminded me of the old digital cameras. Even in natural light they didn't look good. They were all blury and grainy. There was a long pause after you hit the shutter button before the photo was taken, so you pretty much missed the moment each time. There is no memory card! You have to do everything off the internal memory, which is not handy at all.
Summary: so the exclamation point came on...took me forever to figure out it meant that the battery was exhausted---yet the battery icon was showing full. plugged it in to recharge yesterday and it worked last night. then this morning it wouldn't do anything---little exclamation point on again and yet the battery icon was full. so i plugged it in and went to work. just got home...turned it on ... it kept saying (and it did this yesterday) that the card wasn't formatted.
