Excerpt: I've had this camera for over 1 1/2 years. I use Nikon DSLR as well as several other bridge cameras by Panasonic and Fujifilm. I got it for a good price as Nikon was introducing P100 to replace this model. I wish I hadn't bought this one. Outside on a sunny day, pictures come out ok, but its performance indoors is dismal. On default program setting, the pictures are blurry and ISO setting above 400 is noisy and useless.
Excerpt: I bought this camera same day I bought my Canon SX120 IS and it wasn't even close to what I expected. This camera was terrible because whites were gray and yellow? Images were grainy up close and with the 24x optical zoom. Even on a tripod the optical zoom pics come out grainy. The camera is extremely bulky and I spent way to long trying to figure out the color balance. Ridiculous, because I all I wanted to do was to charge and take a picture.
I just didn't like this camera and I'm an avid Nikon user

Summary: I tried out this camera, excited because I found a comparable Nikon to my canon S3IS that I could now have all Nikon equipment. I was VERY disappointed with this camera's autofocus feature and with how slow it focused, as well as the LCD screen resolution - it seemed to vibrate and was not very clear. It simply would not focus properly and would not focus on what I desired. It was honestly the biggest disappointment I have ever had in a Nikon product.

Summary: I'm no expert, but I purchased one of these from cash converters yesterday and was not impressed with the picture quality at all. I've done side by side comparisons with my Samsung galaxy note 3 mobile phone, and the mobile phone actually takes a better image. The Nikon creates a fairly grainy look to the picture, no matter what setting I put it on. I'm going to return it tomorrow, just no point having a DSLR that's lower quality than a tiny mobile phone camera.
Summary: This camera was tested by me recently - it has many good features, which don't include the pictures! I tested it against a 10MP camera (not Nikon) I have, and under same conditions of good natural lighting and stability. I then compared the 2 cameras' pictures by printing at A4 size, TV playback, and zoom. In each case, sadly, the Nikon gave unsharp, even muddy results, and colour was rather flat.
