Nikon Coolpix P80 is a fully featured cam in a sleek, compact design. This camera weighs 0.84 lbs(365grams) and measures 110x79x78mm. Equipped with the trademark Nikkor lens, Nikon Coolpix P80 provides 18x optical zoom (27mm-486mm). The Nikon Coolpix P80 provides users with up to 10.1 mega pixels resolution thereby capturing finest details.

The Optical VR Image Stabilization feature lets users to capture sharper images. Its bright 2.7" LCD allows user to view images. The Nikon Coolpix P80 offers high ISO (up to 6400) which gives allows users to capture fast-moving objects with clarity even in low light conditions. Nikon Coolpix P80 is equipped with a USB port.

With the introduction of the Sports Continuous Scene Mode this camera allows image capture up to 30 frames per second in 3 Mega pixels or lower resolution which enables the user to shoot every moment. Standard features like Red-Eye fix automatically correct red-eye in the captured image and Nikon’s patent face detection technology can focus and find up to 12 faces. This camera also allows users to record high quality movies.

Nikon Coolpix P80 includes a 2 GB Standard SD Card which is designed for use in a wide range of digital devices, including and car navigation systems, digital music players, cellular phones, handheld PCs (HPCs).     a decent ewntry - the clinchrer is the 18X optical zoom. Really the MAIN reason to buy it. It does everytrhing a good digicam is suposed to do- not outstanding, but in the typical Nikon journeyman way...It's responce time could be a wee bit better and there is shutter lag, but almost undesernable except for real MOVEMENT shots..     This camera is an excellent piece of equipment from Nikon. You must learn to use it before you critize or return it. It has a nice sharp focus. The streaks you see or read about in the samples or prior reviews are due to the user having the exposure compensation on a positive setting. This makes the picture much brighter than it needs to be.
