Excerpt: I used to have a Nikon p520 & I liked it. But I like the P600 better. For one thing, I found the battery lasts longer. I am also glad that most of the stuff I use on the camera are the same as my old camera. Of course I like the longer zoom. I do not miss the GPS that was on the old camera. All in all I like it a lot. You can probably get better shots with a DSLR. But I think the P600 is a nice "crossover camera.
Pros: Easy To Use, Good Image Stabilization, Great Zoom, Nice Body Color
Summary: I own eight Nikon cameras beginning with a SLR from the early 80's. I now own five other Nikon digital cameras as of this date having just purchased a different Nikon Coolpix model within last week. This Coolpix P600 is a poor performer IMO. I was so DISAPPOINTED with it's features and photo results. Yes, it has a super zoom of 60x Optical, but what good is that if the camera ends up taking lousy photos.
