Nikon Coolpix P60 - For the price, a good quality camera.
9 September 2012
Excerpt: I purchased this camera after an older one broke. It happened to be on sale for a decent price, which was the first reason we looked at it. I was also interested in the Mega Pixel support, which is 8.1. Our previous camera only supported 7, and because I work in print and design, I know how important high quality images can be when it comes to reprinting, enlarging, etc.
Summary: Have used it a few times and need to get used to it. The reason I purchased it is it had most of the main features I want. Optical lense and zoom, uses AA batterys, and most of all a veiw finder which most small point & shoot camera's don't have anymore. The camera I have is a electronic view finder and I have problems getting on. All in all the pictures I have taken have been quite well except night pictures which I'm working on.
Summary: Compact and sleek camera but with a handgrip that makes it feel more substantial. Electronic viewfinder for sunny conditions where you wouldn't be able to see the LCD comes in handy. The pictures are excellent but you will need to learn how to use the features because program mode will not handle many conditions sufficiently
Summary: Great camera for the price! It has sharp pictures, easy to operate, light weight, and an easy to operate zoom. My husband saw the pictures and bought one, too. The down side (which is not that bad), is that the flash could be better. It is made by Nikon, with a Nikon lens. What more can I say.
Summary: I read many reviews, and settled on this because I had just had a D40 with 2 sets of lenses stolen in Newark. I wanted a good high pixel camera with a good zoom. From the pictures I have taken so far it has been excellent. Also the arcsoft panorama maker was a godsend and makes better Pans than my Elements 5.0, easier to use to. And What did it cost me on ebay $60 including shipping handling and insurance.
Summary: i bought this camera as a gift for my brother, he has an active family with kids and is into a lot of utube viedos, this camera has worked great for his needs the quility of the pic's are really good the autofocus works every time, the low light viedo could be better but this is not a high end cam, for the money i dont think you can find better. if you think you want thi scamera buy it quick as it is sure to be gone soon!
Pros: Bright LCD, Comfortable Controls, Easy Setup, Easy to Keep Clean, Short Lag Time, Strong Construction
Cons: Poor Operation in Low Light, Short Battery Life
Summary: pros: very compact package, auto and manual controls,5X magnification. cons: if it only had a threaded ring for auxiary lens, otherwise none. a very nice compact camera for beginners to pros. very handy to use.
