Summary: I LOVE this camera, it has a really good zoom in range and its HD pictures are just amazing. I've been using this product for about a year now and so far i have had zero problems with it. The battery lasts me a pretty long time, and i have to say I'm in love with this product.
Summary: We bought because our daughter had one when she came to visit!! So far we love it and felt that we got a very good deal, except the back up extra battery is not the one that should have came with It.
Summary: I love it! It zooms in close enough with the optical zoom that I can sit in the deer blind and take such clear pictures of the deer that you can see their eyelashes! It's an amazing camera and exactly what I was looking for!
Without a doubt, the best non-DSLR camera I've ever bought.

Summary: I'm a professional photographer and I bought this after buying the Canon SX40, which I gave away! I gave the SX40 to my husband because I did not like the camera at all. I currently own 3 Nikon DSLR camera bodies (D330S, D600, and D800) along with 5 lenses to go with those cameras. I also like to have a simple point and shoot camera for everyday stuff. I bought the Canon to replace an older point and shoot camera.
Summary: I love this camera, i have the one model before, the P500, but wanted to upgrade to a larger zoom & GPS. The GPS is a great addition. It also has some extra features > "effects", you can choose many different effects, i particularly like the "painting" effect, has a nice "nostalgic sepia" also, whatever you decide to use, they all come out great! The shots taken come out really clear, even good at full zoom, but must hold steady or you can use a tripod.
Excerpt: Have a Canon G9, not CMOS but it's way to "buttony"....produces fair files for a CCD chip.
Picked up this refurbished P510 for a great price. Love the CMOS chip, awesome lens zoom and operation is so much simpler than the Canon.
I'm a retire Kodak Staff photographer and used top end cameras for years. Don't want to get into that again. I have used both Canon and Nikon. This Coolpix P510 has an edge over the Canon in my opinion....
Pros: Easy To Use, Fast/accurate auto-focus, Good Image Quality, Good Image Stabilization, Good in Low Light, Great Zoom, Large Clear LCD, Nice Body Color, Short Lag Time, Small / Compact
Summary: We bought this camera from another store about 2 years ago. Recently, our daughter started showing great interest in photography -- so we looked to get her a camera of her own for Christmas. After pouring over specs and reviews...nothing matched the Coolpix P510 for quality, features or price. So we bought hers on Amazon as a refurbished unit. Even more, my brother-in-law was looking for a camera for their family and I recommended this one to them. They love it too!
Great camera, good size, good batt life, great zoom, great price.

Summary: Great camera for the $$ for sure. Some reviews say that the low light performance is not good, but it has done great for us at night outside, even without a tripod. Inside it performs great as well. The zoom is amazing and the image stabilization works well. The battery life has been great so far. The only down side that we have found is extremely minor, and that is that it doesn't have an orientation sensor for rotating the images automaticly.
