Summary: I have been through 3 different cameras so far. My first camera was a top of the line Canon and I just wasn't satisfied. So I thought I needed a fancier camera and ended up buying a Sony nex-3 mirrorless camera but wanted a zoom to it. So I bought the 200mm lens. While it took great pictures, I hated manually having to focus and it didn't zoom as much as I wanted it to. But the kicker was not having the lens on it I wanted when I needed it.
Excerpt: I use this camera to take pictures of my son learning to surf so the long zoom is needed, it would be nice if it focused a bit faster at the longer zoom. I'm getting some great pix.<br />Bought this camera in a bundle package and all the extras are very useful, except the tripod is designed to hold a much lighter camera.
Pros: Easy To Use, Good Image Quality, Good Image Stabilization, Great Zoom, Large Clear LCD, Nice Body Color, Small / Compact
Summary: I like the camera very much does everything it's supposed to do the only reason I deducted one star was because of the poor handling and shipping and tracking it took approximately 10 days to ship the camera 900 miles .the only thing I dislike about the camera is the slow automatic focusing on most photos you have to readjust focusing
Excerpt: I own both Canon and Nikon DSLR's and Canon and Panasonic Lumix pocket cams. This was purchased as a replacement to a Minolta A1 and to get a larger zoom and MP camera in a simlar form factor to the Minolta. I like the smaller yet DSLR feel and grip of these cameras for carry around and one hand shooting where the pocket cams shooting with one hand is sometime less stable.
Summary: Great zoom and image stabilization. The different automatic modes are basic, but efficient. I have an SLR camera and the comparison may not be fair, as the capabilities on the SLR are far superior. However, I wanted something smaller to carry around on quick trips. The processor is a little slower than what I expected, but will do the job on shorter trips.
