Summary: Being totally non-technical, I amaze myself that I can actually use this thing. There are simple settings described in a quick-start manual that allow me to take good pictures, and an online manual for more advanced stuff. (One regret is that the advanced manual is online and not a print copy that I think would be easier to reference.) But I've been taking the advanced information a little at a time, and it's making sense.
Pros: - For 189, like new, can't complain, looks new,
Cons: Some reviews mention apertrue range is limited to f8, and max apert. is 3 - 5 vs 2.8 all the way on pana. At full price, I would have to carefully compare the 2, but at this price, there is no need, altough obviously long depth of field will be challenging in some situations, but
Summary: Overall the Nikon Coolpix P150 has all the basic beginners needs. It is an awesome camera for the money. It was a gift to my husband who is recently retired an is looking into photography as a hobby. The cameras ease of use for a challenged non-tech individual is a 10 on a scale of 1-10. Thus far he is loving it and would recommend it to a friend.
