Summary: I got wonderful clear pictures in a very low light. Flash light switch to turn it off is great. This camera can take shots in low light thus most time not need flash light. Video takes a longer time to process (than my old canon camera) recording that prevented to take a shot right after.

Summary: I was looking for a replacement for my Samsung NX10, a camera to supplement my Nikon D7000 DSLR and I read many reviews before choosing the P300.Many of those reviews were not glowing, but in my opinion the criticisms were based on criteria that this camera was not designed to be in the first place.
Pros: Small size, easily fitting into a shirt or trouser pocket., 12mp sensor, Very fast f1.8 lens, making it great in low light, Good looks, Manual controls, Great HD Video, Excellent scene selection including panorama assist and easy panorama, Superb picure quality
Cons: Only f1.8 at wide zoom setting, Price of Nikon case
Summary: I got this camera on November 2011 it's quick even with low light shots, no blurry night shots anymore, although video is not that impressive. I'm really happy with this camera, i've had it for almost 3 months now without any issue.
Summary: I have used this camera about 8 months ~ 2300 pics. Semi Auto Only 'auto scene' with 'auto select' is fully automatic. This is your point and shoot setting. No other dial settings are automatic.
Summary: Being a Nikon DSLR user for years, I wanted to remain loyal to the Nikon brand. After reading review after review for weeks, I was turned onto this little beauty. It's amazing. I was amazed as to how light the camera weighs, but not light as in "cheap". Just not heavy or "tank-like".
Summary: Being in the outdoors a lot was looking for small ,easy to use ,quality camera. Took this gem to Alberta Nov. 2011. At 18deg below zero, had to keep in shirt pocket because froze up, but suspect this would be true of any camera at that temp.(Batt.issue?
Summary: I've owned several Canon DSLR (Rebel, 30D, 5D), various Canon L lenses, 4 Canon P&S, and 2 Fujifilm P&S. This is my first time to try Nikon camera because Canon S100 was out of stock when I purchased it. I am happy with the Nikon.
