Below average quality for a high price.

  • Excerpt: Within less than a year the lens shutter broke and it will not open.  Since it shows an error when turned on I cannot even access my old photos stored on it.  Prior it was taking blurry photos.  It's cost does not justify the quality of the camera.

Best digital camera I've ever used.

  • Excerpt: Great little camera.  Quality pictures.  Do not dare drop, the lens will malfunction and you will spend big bucks to repair.  The Coolpix P1 offers a high-quality 3.5x Zoom-Nikkor Glass lens with a focal range equivalent to that of a 36-126mm lens in 35mm format and feature a large, bright 2.5-inch LCD for easy viewing in all conditions..

It's a really cute camera that takes decent pictures

  • Excerpt: This was the first digital camera we ever bought. I works really well during the day & takes great pictures when the flash isn't necessarily needed. However, in the evening, it does not do as well. The flash takes a while to go off & our kids always end up blinking & their eyes are closed in the pictures. It is a little bulky in size but is still portable. We are looking for another camera to replace it soon.

Worth the price for an older camera!

  • Summary: Bought this for a friend and she says it works pretty good. Certainly not a DSRL - which is what I use, but for general use it certainly does a good job! 8MP is more then enough.

Nikon Coolpix P! 8.0 Megapixel

queensonora, Ebay

  • Summary: I just received this camera today and it's the first and best camera I've had. I decided to buy this camera after the reviews and because it can transfer files over a Wi-fi connection to the PC or printer (which is extremely useful). I haven't set up the Wi-Fi yet though. What I loved about this product was the image quality. The images are crisp and clean, free of noise/blurriness. However, the noise is apparent BEFORE you take the picture. The video quality is great!

User friendly - yet great pic's!

  • Summary: This camera is easy to use, takes amazing pictures, and is priced low enough to compete with cameras that have much fewer capabilities.
  • Pros: Ease of use - even a camera novice like myself can capture amazing pictures!
  • Cons: This camera has more tricks to it, which I am still trying to discover.

OK camera

  • Summary: The camera didn't come with a memory stick, so there's 100.00$ and needed a second battery, another 30.00$ as it only lasts about 20 minutes. All in all my old camera, a Sony, was a better deal. It does take clear pictures though. I wish it had a view finder!
