Overall good family camera with many functions and great zoom
25 July 2014
Summary: I bought this camera because I wanted a portable DSLR with high zoom capability without a need to buy a separate lens (thanks to my wife who threw away my older Canon PowerShot I cherished without knowing the camera happened to be in a container she assumed to be garbage). This camera from Nikon brings about most of the features in my wish list and more.
Great backup and sometimes primary for wildlife shooting.

Summary: I bought this as a back up to a Sony RX10 for a long vacation of animal viewing. I added a charger and 4 rechargeables with the AAs as spares. 30x worked great on the long shots. I've always liked Nikon - F and D90 but previously used Canon S50 for convenience - this is my new convenient camera. It's light and relatively quick. My only knock is the lack of a view finder.
Summary: I like the camera, color is nice. I also decided to order a 64 GB memory card but for some 16 GB will do. Pros: Screen protector, keeps my screen clean though its hard to apply. Love the card reader, simple and easy to use. Also like the HDMI to TV cord this will help me view 3D pictures. *Comes with case but...
Summary: This is my first Nikon product. I am very pleased with the quality. There are some issues getting good indoor shots. The zoom is great. I have captured some great shots with this camera. I hope in the future to purchase a DSLR. Great price great camera.
This is a very nice fully-automatic compact camera

Summary: This is a very nice fully-automatic compact camera. It comes loaded with exposure presets for virtually any situation, it is packed with features and takes very, very nice pictures at very high resolution. It allows for easy exposure compensation, but it does not allow for ANY manual setting of aperture or shutter speed.
Summary: The camera itself is everything I expected. My one concern was as stated above I ordered it with a full 1 year warranty but when the camera arrived it said it only had a 3 month warranty. ?????? THAT WASN'T GOOD! Was going to write and ask about that before I gave it a good review, but the camera itself to this point seems to be working as far as my limited knowledge understands. What happens in 4 months if I find something is wrong?
