Does not have a charger - only rechargeable batteries

Summary: The camera itself is fine - good pictures, easy to use, etc. However, the fact that it is battery operated and you need to buy a whole separate battery charger, instead of just having a wall charger, is really annoying. I would not purchase this again for that reason.
Summary: Alot has been written about the topic of focus on this camera. But let's be clear: The camera has a function (one of the "scenes" you can choose from) called "Sports." Inevitably, this function is for capturing movement (i.e one would presume a faster shutter speed). Regardless of the amount of light you have, there is still enough lag time to ruin almost every photo one takes. Enough to ruin trying to capture very important events, such as your kids' sports, etc.
Summary: Instruction booklet that came with the camera was hard-to-understand - even the built-in menu is difficult. I wish now I had gone with a Cannon. I do say though that this Nikon makes great pictures once you know how.
Summary: Yesterday, when this camera made it impossible to get a good shot of the huge bald eagle in front of my deck, i determined to replace it. Slow shutter speed and hard to use distant zoom belie the feature list and price. Good for close up and personal stuff.
Summary: I purchase a Nikon, Coolpix L810 in November of 2012; takes great pictures, but the lens will not come out of the camera. Went to my granddaughters 5th birthday party and each time I took the lens cap off and turned the camera on- I got a message - take lens cap off. I reviewed the book - could not find any helpful hints or tips. Got online to find help and the only thing I could find was that I need to send the camera in for repair.
Summary: Pictures are not focused right and the quality is very poor. Bought it for our organization to take pictures at our events and its not up to par for what we need. The camera is difficult to figure out and my staff does not like it.
Summary: I returned this camera. I was so excited to find this camera, a Nikon no less, and eagerly anticipated it's arrival. When it arrived, I devoured the owner's manual, and set it up. First negative, it feels cheap. Lightweight plastic, with an especially flimsy battery case. Taking pictures, I noticed that it is slow to respond, slow to focus, and the images are not as clean and crisp as expected. Got that feeling immediately that I had made a bad purchase and sent it back.
Summary: I love the pictures this camera takes if no one is moving AT ALL. If your subject is in motion...no good. I've taken lots and lots of blurry pictures; these include pictures of people just breathing. I've read the instructions (which were very vague) and still had no luck. There's even a sports mode (must be for chess!); every picture of my son playing basketball was blurry. I've tried with and without the flash. Not happy!!
