Summary: PROS: This is a compact yet sturdy little camera with a nice hand grip, making it easier to take sharp photos. I like the fact that it uses AA batteries, too, because you can just buy rechargeables which is a lot cheaper than buying 2 or 3 camera-specific batteries. And, in spite of it's size, it takes fairly decent photos.
Summary: The camera is good for as long as you have 100 batteries. If your like me who has 2 little ones we go thru a ton of batteries for toys, games, etc. the toys will last some hours of play time with the cheap batteries but in the camera it would die within one hour. Since we bought Duracell batteries I have noticed it has lasted a few days. I love the camera especially the features but the battery thing ruins it!! (Recharchable batteries don't work..
Summary: Only drawback is the battery life. I put two brand new Duracell n by the end of day while on a trip I gave to replace the batteries. Make sure you always carry an extra set. Have lost a few good moments because battery was depleted.
Summary: The reviews stating the battery consumption of this camera are dead on. I get battery low warnings immediately after starting up with brand new fresh rechargeables. You can ignore the warning for a few hours but then the camera starts to die and you need to change the batteries again. I love the motion blur and rapid picture taking capabiliity. Nice camera wish it was a little smaller so I can keep it in my pocket and not have to use the belt-purse holster.
