Summary: I got this camera refurbished during the black Friday deals. I use it with a SONY 16GB Class 10 SD card. GOOD: Picture quality and resolution are excellent. The screen on the camera is big and has excellent resolution. Has many different picture modes that are quick to scroll though and easy to understand. The video resolution is full 1080 and looks great. BAD: The shutter speed is unbearably slow, especially on full resolution, the flash recharge is even slower.
Summary: Went on vacation to Europe and bought this camera for our trip. Takes a good picture but very hard to use. The zoom/autofocus was very slow. Some shots were missed due to the time it took for the camera to focus. This camera eats batteries. Half a day and the batteries were shot. I don't recommend the camera,, too hard to keep working.
I'm not impressed at all. This is the best Nikon can offer in this price range? Avoid ! Very very slow.

Summary: The focus lags severely. The shutter lags even worse despite having an extremely fast memory card that otherwise works great even in RAW mode on my Canon 70D. I am very very disappointed in this camera. Sure it isn't a Canon T5i, a Canon 70D nor a Mark III, but I definitely expect better results from today's technology, especially from Nikon. I had considered returning it after the first experience, but I hoped an even better memory card would help. It didn't.
Summary: I found this camera very frustrating. I keep getting messages that the battery is run down after putting in new batteries twice. It is very difficult to get the battery compartment open and very difficult to get it closed with batteries inside. I find the shutter speed very slow. I wish I would have purchased another camera. I bought it because I loved my first Nikon Coolpix, not this one. I will not purchase another.
I have one now and am disappointed with the quality of pictures, brightness of video, and sturdiness

Summary: I have it propped up now letting the Gorilla superglue dry. The pressure from the batteries against the battery door is strong making it a bit challenging to open and close, no problem, but it eventually took it's toll on the tiny plastic fold that holds the door shut and I've only had the camera for a few weeks (bought it Christ-mass eve).
Summary: I am a dermatology resident and I like to take photos of skin conditions. I had a Canon point-and-shoot (can't recall the model number, but it was about $300 according to my wife) that leaves this thing in the dust. Unfortunately I lost it. On the "easy / auto" mode it takes forever to focus, and often it does not focus well at that. On the macro mode it is no better. Then (I guess due to smaller processor?
Summary: Got this camera because of the redesigned size and weight. Unfortunately the functionality did not meet my expectations. Shutter speed was sub-par regardless of the settings (auto or manual). Additionally, user will have to buy an Eye-fi compatible SD card in order to transfer pictures wireless. Still takes a great photo but expected more.
