Summary: This camera was a gift to my niece in Europe. She loves it, but regrets that it cannot be charged off the computer. Still, it was her choice to purchase this one. It has a better reputation over there than most other cameras.
Summary: It is good camera and zoom is very good and night picture quality is also good. Please dont buy Transcend memory card with this camera. It is not compatible with this camera. Go for san disc or Lexar.
Summary: One smart camera! My last camera had a mix of auto settings such as night portrait, landscape, etc. as well as manual settings, which was helpful. This camera (save for ability to set exposure) lacks the manual settings option - but it does NOT need them. It takes absolutely amazing shots in low light - even without flash and keeps the shutter open at just the right length - without having to manually adjust it.
Summary: 4 Stars -Well nothing is perfect. Not real happy with the way the flash works on the camera. Wait time for the flash to allow you to take a picture is way to long!! People keep saying "come on take the picture !!" it will not let you take a picture until the flash is charged. You say that is normal - but it is not charging until you hold the trigger down half way. You have to stand there ready to take the picture and wait - 15 to 25 seconds. Bad !!!
Awesome Camera! - Nikon Website Really Good for Specs and Other In-Depth Reviews

Summary: Awesome camera! I love the photos that it takes and the wonderful video quality. It works really well with a universal tripod. However, while most people love the fact that this camera takes AA batteries, I do not. They do not keep the camera running nearly as long as a Li-ion battery, which is what my other camera took. So, that is the only major drawback.
Summary: When I received this camera and saw the excellent pictures it took for the price, I was really excited. And I was even more impressed with the low-light ability. But after having it for 2 weeks and have gone through 10 AA batteries, I have to withdraw my recommendation for this camera. It literally eats batteries. My last Kodak Easyshare would use 2 batteries in 2 weeks with my normal usage.
Summary: I bought this for my wife and she really loves having this in her purse to capture those photos you never expect to want to take. She really loves the quality of the photos, but really misses not having a view finder. We think the Auto modes take just a bit too long to take a picture, so we miss some shots, but the action mode takes care of that. I just can't seem to get the wife to use anything but auto.
