Summary: A piece of junk. The camera arrived not working properly and wouldn't even turn on with fresh batteries in it. It's made out of cheap plastic and the supplier, Beach Camera, has not responded in a way the reflects a commitment to providing good customer service to their customers. My purchase was a "refurbished camera." I have no idea how could their so called Quality Control Department could allow such a defective item to be sent out, that is.
Camera is already broken and it wasn't that good to begin with

Summary: When you pay $200 for a dedicated camera, you'd expect better than this. While the build quality is good, the actual image quality is questionable. Photos often come out blurry and video recording is abysmal. The camera says it can shoot 720p 60 frames per second, but when booted on my PC it's only 30 frames per second. Not only that, even when zoomed out all the way videos are blurry even in 720p/1080p which tells me it can't do real HD quality.
Summary: After reading reviews I decided this was a good choice for my son who was leaving on an extended trip. He needed something small and easy to use. After one use with it (before he even left) the camera battery died while the camera was turned on. Now the lens is stuck out and we have to send it in for repairs, no camera for the trip. I liked Nikon before, but this camera is junk.
Summary: This camera is terrible! Goes through batteries like mad. The battery door is poorly designed and cracked and broke. Now it won't read any pic cards. My cheap Sony was a thousand times better. I thought I was buying a better product going with nikon. Nope, TERRIBLE!!! I will never buy a Nikon again!!!
Summary: Battery door would not latch on my mothers' camera approximately one month after purchase. Cannot locate a replacement. Contacted Nikon & was told I had to mail camera ( which would require driving 2 hrs). So, not a fan. Should be able to obtain a simple battery door.
Summary: We read all the reviews and thought this would be a good general camera for taking pictures of a baby (our old camera had a shutter speed that was too slow to catch a smile). Our prior camera took 2A batteries, and I didn't mind having to change them. I preferred that rather than having to charge a dead battery. We bought the faster memory storage that was suggested by one review. However, the batteries on this are just horrible.
Summary: It had lens problem.I didn't use it much either. After a while it stopped working because of lens for no reason. Then I send it for repair. They repaired it, and after awhile it started to have the same problem again!!total waste of MONEY!!!
Summary: The ISO sensor is either bad or too small on this camera, so most pictures are blurry in auto mode. The subject's eyes can even turn out blurry when they blink! I spent a lot of time with Nikon customer service in trying to resolve this year. A lot of time on the phone describing the problem and I had to submit several photos showing my problems. They would send me the usual fixes and every time I would show them that camera was faulty.
