Summary: this camera starts out good but in the long run, this camera don't hold up good..the first I brought accidentally down on soft carpet and broke real easily and so I replaced it with a new one with the rechargeable battery where I kept my camera in a camera pouch and now its not working and it haven't been exposed to any heat or been dropped...so I don't trust buying another Nikon ever again..now im going to a new type of brand like maybe hp.
Summary: This is the 4th Nikon that I have owned. Wanted a small point and shoot for taking pictures of cars at car lot to post pictures. Camera is easy to use and takes good pictures but constantly receiving message 'battery exhausted' after only a few pictures with brand new batteries installed. Will look into lithium ones to see if resolves issue.
Summary: I have a Coolpix that I purchased over 3 years ago, but unfortunately the battery hatch finally gave way. I bought this camera with the intention of replacing that one. I also own a Rebel T3i. The older camera was a better camera, but it must be said that it was an excellent camera. This camera is a great point and shoot... daytime pictures. Great quality, zoom, a steady hand does help on occasions, but the pictures are very good.
Summary: Well first of all, I'm very disappointed in myself for not knowing it takes AA's instead of a lithium battery :( I guess I just assumed. My last camera took the lithium battery that had a wall charger, and I LOVED IT! I'm really nervous this camera is going to EAT these AA's in no time! I cannot get the editing CD to download on my computer, I'm following all the directions, then it says, 'click the box that says NEXT', well there is not a box that says NEXT!!! ugh!
Summary: It is a good camera over all. Easy to use, small size, light weight. Picture quality is acceptable though not very sharp. No stabilizer. One thing I do mind is the poor external looking, not so flat and low quality plastics used.
Summary: A point and shoot camera is for beginners. Apart from a quick start guide there was no reference manual/CD included with product or a simple camera case. The Nikon website is not for amateurs either. To obtain an instruction manual, the URL given via an email link repeatedly came up with error messages and they still implied my browser was the problem not their setup. Phoning customer services was OK. Tech support service wasn't helpful.
Summary: This was bought for my sensible 10 year old. I wouldn't be happy with the results if it was my camera but for her it's fine. Easy to use, not many confusing functions and nice looking. One downside is that it needs the batteries replacing as it doesn't recharge.
