The Nikon CoolPix L23 is a 10.1 megapixel digital camera powered by a 1/2.9-inch CCD sensor and supported by a 5X optical zoom NIKKOR lens with 4.0-20.0mm (angle of view equivalent to that of 28-140 mm lens in 35mm [135] format) focal length and f/2.7-6.8 aperture value. The Nikon CoolPix L23 also features up to 4 x digital zoom; sports a 2.7-inch 230k-dot, TFT LCD with 5-level brightness adjustment, 22 MB internal memory, memory expandability via SD/SDHC/SDXC memory card; up to 1600 ISO sensitivity, Hi-Speed USB interface and is powered by two AA-size alkaline batteries, lithium batteries or rechargeable Ni-MH batteries (available separately). The battery provides users up to 250 (alkaline)/660 (lithium)/420 (EN-MH2) of shots as well as up to 1 hour (alkaline)/3 hours 45 minutes (lithium)/2 hours 35 minutes (EN-MH2) of VGA 640 x 480 video recording. The Nikon CoolPix L23 measures 96.7 X 59.9 X 29.3 mm and weighs 170g. It comes with a camera strap, LR6/L40 (AA-size) alkaline batteries, USB Cable UC-E6, and ViewNX 2 CD-ROM.

The Nikon CoolPix L23 is a digital camera that supports a pixel count of 10.1-million pixels and 5X optical zoom NIKKOR lens. The camera also supports shooting at focal lengths beginning at the wide-angle 28mm (35mm format equivalent), allowing users to zoom in on subjects, as well as use macro photography at a shooting distance as close as 3 cm to the subject. The 2.7-inch TFT LCD monitor allows users to compose and view their shots.
