Summary: this camera is the biggest POS EVER! I should have returned it right after I bought it, I could tell it would not suit my needs right away. I expected to at least be able to take good pics of our young daughter and I have missed so many great pic opportunities as a result of this camera. 3 reasons why NOT to buy this camera IF you have little kids (If taking pics of adults/ people who can stay still, or still photos, it is just fine). 1.
Excerpt: We love our new camera! Our other one was 5 years old and photo sites were starting to tell me our quality of pics where no longer good enough to make certain items so we thought it was time for an upgrade. Love the large screen and so far the pics look awesome. The screen is over twice the size of our old screen. Has the date and time feature that I love because I like knowing when the picture was taken.
Summary: This camera absolutely sucks. My husband and I purchased it to take pictures during our anniversary getaway and it was terrible! It takes forever to focus and take a picture and when it does, it's not of very good quality. Save your money. You'll be sorry you spent it on this piece of junk.
Summary: What good is a product if it breaks within a year? After less than a year of use... nothing major, the battery latch broke. The latch is made out of the same plastic the body is constructed with. I believe it was part of the same mold. Whatever the design, it broke, rendering the camera useless. I'm not sure why Nikon would design a battery latch made of cheap plastic. This is the one most important function in any electronic product.
