Summary: I have always been a Nikon fan. This is the latest one i bought for my mother in law. Its compact but easy to use, different scene modes, edit pictures, perfect for first time users . I would have preferred to get a rechargeable battery with the set but its been a really great gift for her.
Summary: While I have only had the camera a few days, I wanted to take a time out to show my satisfaction for this product. This is a fantastic point and shoot camera! It's not the high tech sophisticated camera for the more experienced people interested in photography, but it is a quality product. I read the manual and found out all the little in and outs and special features for this camera and there were a great many!
Summary: I wanted a camera that was easy to use, lightweight and has the basic features for everyday use. This was perfect with easily navigable menu, most common shooting modes that one is likely to encounter and the best part was the price. Its definitely one of the best at this price! I have used it for both indoor and outdoor shooting and the pictures have come out perfect.
Summary: I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this simple camera. I have gone through at least 10 digital cameras in the past 2 years (all were stolen or broken purposefully by a*holes...) and now I have 2 digital cameras plus the one on my Blackberry... recording equipment of any kind is like a weapon I use, instead of real weapons... (Nikon Coolpix L19 and a Canon 10.1, very similar to the Nikon but actually I like the Nikon better. They are around the same price/look.
Excerpt: (The grades are of course relevant to the category, i.e. entry-level point & shoot) I bought this as a gift to my wife - the only requirements were that it should be pink and very easy to use :) Given the very low price, there are absolutely no complaints. It does the job with style, it has some very basic manual settings (WB and Exposure Compensation for instance), and it's quite versatile - always for the audience it is intended.
