Excerpt: Rumors abound a couple of months ago, the name CP800 bounced around the newsgroups and discussion forums but nobody had any details about Nikons rumored new digital camera. On 27th September Nikon did their normal worldwide simultaneous announcement, the new Coolpix 800. So, was it enough to be excited about? Well, yes really. The Coolpix 800 is essentially an updated Coolpix 700 (similar package) with a 2x zoom lens.
Pros: Excellent image quality, Great colour and white balance, Solidly built despite plastic case, Matrix Metering, Fast processing, short cycle times, Logical menu system (as found on CP700, CP950, D1), Easily Portable, Better "bright" LCD mode (as found in the new CP950 firmware), Auto ISO mode, Ease of use (even my dad used it!)
Cons: What no USB?, No CF Type II support, Can't scroll in playback zoomed mode, Limited zoom (2x.. matches S10)
