Excerpt: I've had this camera for two years and used it extensively on land and under water. It was initially pretty good, but have had a lot of problems with it fogging over when going from cool to warm temps. It eats battery life when underwater or in cold temps so be sure to have a fully charged spare.
Summary: I purchased this camera in 2014 for a trip to Culebra PR. I am a pro photographer and followed Nikon's instructions to a T. The camera leaked several days into the trip and stopped functioning. Since I had just purchased less than a month ago hoped Nikon would fix or replace.
Excerpt: Only underwater digital camera with interchangeable lens. Alas, only two underwater lenses.
Upgrade for Minolta & Nikonos 35mm, Pentax digital point and shoot underwater cameras.
Specs suit my intended use. NOT suitable for SCUBA, due to limited depth rating.
Summary: Used 1 time snorkeling in no deeper than 3' of water. Battery and SD card were wet when opened. I followed the instructions exactly. Soaked in fresh water for 1 hour and left to dry for over an hour. I would not recommend this camera.
Great concept - but not thought through in terms of interface.

Summary: Generally I love Nikon cameras, and I use their full-size pro DSLRs regularly. I liked the idea of this camera as a capable and durable option for an adventure trip and thought that it's ability to be used underwater might help to get better photos while snorkeling than using a GoPro or disposable...
Great camera, everything good except for floating strap.

Excerpt: Camera and the rest of the package is great, the flotation wrist strap is cheap and came apart allowing the camera to drop onto concrete, good news is it only scratched the outside of the lens. The silicon cover helped save the camera.
Pros: Easy to Use, Great Resolution, Small / Compact

Summary: This is the first Nikon that I actually really like. I've never used Nikon as much as other systems -- just a personal preference, not a quality issue. I am a pro shooter and regularly use Sony Alpha cameras, a variety of Panasonic Lumix cameras and recently dispatched all of my Canon equipment...
Summary: In spite of being advertised was a high-end water-proof camera --it failed as a underwater camera. I followed the check list prior to taking it underwater and it still leaked. The camera seals did not perform as advertised. I"d like a refund.
