Folk like Edwin and Gerry and myself should all own - and keep - a decent Leica M3 and Summi' or Elmar in order to gain those satisfactions, putting them away again, or on display, as soon as the gratification is achieved and the need for easier results returns. You must not have any expectation from this product near to any digital camera. It's a toy! The picture quality is below most of phone cameras even if have a 5mpx sensor. I bought for my kid to bring him into photography world. The proportional size was very interesting as for a 4 year kid it have size and ergonomic of a full size Leica camera in adult hands. Being a Leica replica toy and the price tag, I was expecting some "Leica" style build quality. Read more

[...] The camera is great, the image resolution is excellent given the very small size. The only issues I have are that the camera is VERY sensitive to motion, and the view-finder does not allow for good composition. I bought the 4 megapixel version which has no digital display back. The 5 megapixel version does, so I imagine the composition issue is less troublesome. Read more

Features

The Minox Leica M3 features an analog compact camera. It offers integrated bright line view screen which is located at the back of the camera. It features rangefinder which allows the photographer to measure the subject distance and take photographs that are in sharp focus. The bayonet interchange offers to complement the optical devices by allowing interchange of optical devices such as interchangeable lens. This camera is built with the ratio scale of 1:2:5. The Minox Leica M3 features MINOX 8x11 mm film format which offers to use Minoctar lens of 1:5/1:6/15 mm (3 elements in 3 groups). This camera features a focusing range from standard range of 1 or 2 meters to infinity. The exposure time which is featured with the camera is at 1/250 per second. It offers a standard tripod thread of ¼ inches. The camera is built with a metal body which is said to be more durable and prolong the lifespan of the camera.

Additional features

The Minox Leica M3 features recommended accessories which include leather strap, lens cover aluminum, flash and ever ready case. This camera is measured at (L x W x H) 75 mm x 41 mm x 38 mm.
