Excerpt: I recently purchased the X Vario to use as a travel camera and as a color complement to my Leica M Monochrom.

The only reasons to buy this camera is for the quality, both in terms of build quality and the image quality it produces. It is a poor choice for those buying based on spec sheets as other cameras have higher resolution sensors, faster maximum aperture, wider and longer zoom reach and more built-in features.
Pros: Easy to Use, Good Battery Life, Great Zoom, Large Clear LCD
Cons: Limited Zoom, No Viewfinder, Poor Image Stabilization
Excerpt: My review of the Leica X-VARIO I have only had the camera a few weeks (about 600 shots) now and my opinion on some aspects may change once I have more time with the camera. Initial Impression On Announcement My initial impression on Leica’s announcement was very negative. I thought it would be too heavy, too slow (AF), and too slow a lens and I felt it was over priced for what it had to offer.
Excerpt: Use it as an everyday shooter. Very well built, looks beautiful and gets attention. It's outdoor quality is great. Indoor is not as good in terms of low light. The flash helps but tends to produce overblown photos. All in all, it's a great camera for everyday use.
Pros: Easy to Use, Great Resolution
Cons: Limited Zoom, No Viewfinder, Poor in Low Light
