could not be happier with the product

Raymond P., Amazon
  • Summary: I bought this camera shortly before I went to China for 14 days. I took 1470 photographs, could not be happier with the product, sometimes were amazed at the results, wowed by the magnification. Many shots I took at night in the lighted cities of Chunquing and Shanghai are photographic prizes. Like any complex product, READ THE MANUAL. Nothing like knowledge of the machinery when something mysterious happens. You will love this camera.

Almost perfect

Enjaume, B&H Photo
15 May 2014
  • Excerpt: After some initial focusing problems which were speedily corrected thanks to B&H excellent technical service department this is certainly the best "point and shoot" that I have ever owned. I mainly use Nikon DSLRs (D7100, D610) with Nikon 80 - 400 zoom and Nikon 300 mm f/2.8 (with teleconverters) for wildlife and have had some surprisingly good results with the Leica. The only problem that I have encountered has been in very contrasty situations (e.g.

Well worth the money

William K Davis Jr., Amazon
22 April 2014
  • Summary: I have owned a point & shoot and a dslr. This was a fit for the criteria i used for deciding on a camera. The long optical zoom, the many manual and automatic settings seemed to me like a camera that I can take great pictures out of the box as well as learn techniques that pros use for out stand shots. So far, I am thrilled with this camera.

User Review

lebjohnson, DP Review

  • Excerpt: As I've gotten older, hauling around a heavy DSLR and multiple lenses has gotten to be a chore. This compact camera, with its 24X super zoom and constant F2.8 lens is ideal for much of my photography, macro to street. It's photos are sharp, bokeh is good when needed, ISO at 6400 is noise-free, although, with the F2.8 lens, I seldom need to go that high. I shoot in raw which gives me added flexibility in editing.

Great outdoor camera.

George Cox, Amazon
15 January 2014
  • Summary: I chose this camera to replace my hi end Canon point and shoot. I needed the many feature the Leica featured for my outdoor photography and during off road events. During off road events I can't take the time to change lenses. Also l need and use the flip out screen for the many low shots during rock crawling events. The speed, color and clarity make this the perfect camera for me.
