Leica V-Lux 20 Review

Digital Photography School
19 October 2010
  • Excerpt: Here’s another LeicaPana compact with a Leica lens married to a Panasonic-designed body and electronics. And if you think the V-LUX 20 looks like the latter’s Lumix DMC-ZS7 (or DMC-TZ10 in Australia) you’re precisely on the money. There are some differences: among them a slightly different handgrip and some other cosmetic detail plus movie capture in Motion JPEG instead of AVCHD at the top res.

Leica V-Lux 20

CNET
10 January 2010
  • Summary: The Leica V-Lux 20 is a capable but overpriced compact superzoom. It's essentially the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ10 with a Leica badge.
  • Cons: Inflated price for a Leica badge.

Leica V-LUX 20 review

Pocket Lint
17 September 2010
  • Excerpt: Leica’s link with Panasonic for its digital cameras is a good one simply because if you’re going to start with someone else’s kit as a start point Panasonic’s cameras and their reputation for them is very good. After all, one of our favourite digital compacts ever was the Lumix LX3. But the Panasonic model upon which the Leica V-Lux 20 is based is the Lumix DMC TZ10 ( reviewed here ) and it is almost identical but for some key elements.
  • Pros: Great image quality, good detail at lower ISOs, all-metal stylish design, AF system, lens
  • Cons: Noise at sensitivity is noticeable, price, no optical viewfinder, underpowered flash, blotchy shadows, detail smoothed away at high ISOs, no RAW capture

Leica V-Lux 20 im Test: teurer Doppelgänger von der Panasonic TZ10

CNET
16 August 2010
  • Summary: Leica.
