Summary: I bought Leica because of their traditional 35 MM cameras. But their digital line is no better than Canon or Panasonic. In fact, the Leica digital cameras are MADE BY PANASONIC. They are rebranded. Controls are not as intuitive as Canon. The picture quality is great but the auto focus and auto functions are not as good as Canon -- expecially in low light conditions.
Summary: The good: the user interface is pretty easy, the lens is great and the pictures are sharp. The bad: the body just feels cheap, the battery compartment opens by itself very easily (my Leica has to have tape on it!), and the LCD is entirely too tiny. Bottom line: This camera has the potential to be great but falls short. It is a good camera but the price tag and Leica name should warrant a much better camera!
