Love the ease of use, quality, look, and packaging

Summary: I used several Lumix digital cameras before so I find this camera easy to use. So far, every picture I took came out clear, vivid and natural in color. I also like the retro look and packaging of G-Star Raw. (Note and warning to Singapore shoppers: don't buy this camera locally. I first bought this exact camera in Singapore Leica store which costed 25% ~ 35% more than US Amazon price. I expected better after sales service in case I needed, but I was very wrong.
Excerpt: Getting my fingertips working on the buttons but feels intuitive after using a Nikon dslr. Has some interesting focus features. Taking on a long trip and looking forwRd to learning as I go. New camera raw. DNG. Have to upgrade my software now. Oh well.
Excerpt: Hallo There. Over the years I have used and owned a number of camera's. Goertz 11x14, Speed Graflex 4X5, Linhoff 4X5. Rollei Twin Lex Reflex,Petrie,Leica MP4,Yashica Twin Lens Reflex,Hasselblad 500 CM,Hasselblad ELM,Nikon Coolpix P5100.Nikon Coolpix P6000, LEICA D-LUX 5, and my present camera : the LEICA D-LUX 6.
Summary: I own a Lumix LX 5, and am very happy with it. Looking at this Leica DLUX6, it appears identical to the new Panasonic LUMIX LX 7 point and shoot. The same features, lens, etc. Why would someone pay more than double for a comparable camera? For the Leica name?, For the red dot????? If anyone knows why, I would like to know.
Excerpt: Been working with this camera only a few weeks, but so far so good! Only four stars because the build seems a wee bit flimsy, and there is a long-ish delay between turning it off and the lens retracting. Otherwise, picture quality is improved from the D-Lux 1, which is what I traded up from. I am using this at the moment to take pictures of horses being worked, so I use the burst mode, which so far seems fairly flexible-- have not yet fully explored it.
Pros: Easy to Use, Fast Shutter Speed, Great Resolution, Large Clear LCD, Small / Compact
Summary: This camera is great, I upgraded from the DLux4. The faster lens makes a big difference. I was annoyed that Leica was too cheap to print the manual and instead included a disc with a PDF, though.
