  • Summary: quality and ease of use with this littly rascal. the battery is lasting long enough for my all day shootings in nyc, etc. only criticism is the manual was a little sparse and had a few errors in it. the camera is pure quality.

great for close-ups

LM, Amazon
1 September 2012
  • Summary: I've had this Leica for 3 years and I am happy with it. It is expensive but it is a Leica. The quality of pictures taken with this is noticeably better. I have seen after-market lenses for this but I don't own any so I don't know what the quality of distance photos would be with an add-on. I took close-ups of dandelions with this and with my Canon SLR and this camera showed minute tendrils that the Canon did not.

Amazing Camera

Andrew Eisen, Amazon
21 June 2012
  • Summary: This camera is simply wonderful. The quality of the images captured belies its size and format. Highly recommended. I can shoot fully manual, RAW. The bokeh of the lens is sublime. I have a full Canon SLR setup with all 'L' lenses and a 5D mark II, and as much as I like that, I will often take this one out because of the way the camera draws the images.

  • Pros: This camera is perfect from both a usability and a quality standpoint. Bought it used six months ago and it goes with me everywhere. Very easy to use when you don't have much time to get ready but want to get that quality shot.
  • Cons: So many features I am having a gard time learning and remembering.

Love the Camera

Geir Friis, Amazon
8 January 2011
  • Summary: Leica D-LUX 4 I don't know how to shoot good photos, but the images I retrieve from this camera continues to surprise me positively. The big screen is amazing. The glass in the lens must be great because the pictures end up better than I could imagine. It is very easy to use for an amateur and I've handed it to some children friends and when I get the DL4 back it always has some nice photos.

Exceptional

J. Ludwick, Amazon
27 April 2010
  • Summary: This is my go-to camera when I want a great shot using either auto or manual settings. Everything about this compact point and shoot camera works exceptionally well. I brought it with me on a 4-day weekend trip to Arizona and couldn't be happier with my results... though I'm sure it's pretty much impossible to take a 'bad' shot out there. Even the Grand Canyon came through beautifully in 720p HD video mode.
