Excerpt: Just returned a few months ago from touring Finland July 11-25. Top to bottom. From Ivalo to Honko. Took about 500 pictures. Narrowed them down to 199 for a presentation to my FinnishAmericanClub in Tucson. Just an easy and light weight camera to pack around the country side.
Pros: Easy to Use, Great Resolution, Small / Compact
Excerpt: I have found this to be an exceptional compact camera. The the sensor renders great pictures in just about any condition - indoors or out, sunny or shady. The lens is top notch. I usually run my photos thru Photoshop to adjust, exposure, color, etc. but have found very little tweeking is needed. I this is based on a Panasonic, but I have not regretted this purchase.
Pros: Easy to Use, Good Battery Life, Good in Low Light, Great Resolution, Great Zoom, Small / Compact
Summary: This camera is used by many professionals, yet it is easy to use for the average shooter. Don't let the price stop you. It is worth every penny. Take some time to read reviews and on line suggestions. Once you have even the basics down, you will take some great pictures. The zoom is very great with an effective 200mm ability. While it took wonderful pictures, I dumped my Canon Rebel T3 and all the lenses because I hated dragging it on overseas trips.
Summary: What a great, portable, quality camera to have! I had numerous portable cameras in the past, but so far this one is the best for normal usage, without question. No problem with night shots, too; however, for zoomed distant shooting at low light may be less than desirable.I am impressed with the picture quality shown on my iPad. As for the price, it is on the high side. That is probably the only one of the shortcomings. In summary, I am very happy with the purchase.
You cannot do better than a Leica Camera; Leica does it again.
15 July 2014
Summary: Definitely top of the line item; My first digital, automatic Leica; Surpasses any digital camera in it's league over all other brands. It definitely helps to understand out to use manual cameras, especially the older Leica; Not a simple camera to use by any means and I would't recommend it for a beginner, but that's just my opinion.
Summary: This is a nice camera, great pictures, but they're useless because it's so difficult to post them online if you have an iphone. Leica AND AMAZON should make it clear that it is not very compatible with IOS. It's too much of a headache to go through all the Leica v Apple proprietary nonsense. Once again the consumer bears the headache. I'm going to send it back if I can. There are many other options out there. I also feel it's overpriced.
