Hoped for the Best, but...

UncleLindy, Costco
  • Summary: I thought everything about this camera would be great (it has so many desirable features), but from the beginning the lens would not extend correctly. Consequently, I was not able to zoom or even shoot at a regular automatic setting. I was greatly disappointed...maybe I just got a unusual flaw. I returned the camera to Costco...which is always a good feature when these things happen.

  • Summary: I do like the camera and the pictures it takes but am very disappointed in the write up. I cannot seem to find where it says it does not come with a charger. Now I need to purchase a charger??

  • Summary: I am a Kodak man, so my review is going to be good either way with this camera. Fantastic all the way around. This camera is as good if not better than any 3,4, or 5 hundred dollar camera.

FANTASTIC CAMERA PACKAGE

FOSTER964, Costco
18 May 2014
  • Summary: I was relunctant at first based on the price point whether to buy. But went ahead and took a chance. I'm glad I did. This is a sweet outstanding camera with a lot of features that much more expensive camaera's have but without the huge price tag. Having a built in 52mm zoom and an extra battery to go with it and all the features are great. The quality and craftsmenship is outstanding and very well built and durable for any occasion.
  • Pros: everything.
  • Cons: none

Very Good Pictures

Vintage1944, Costco
22 April 2014
  • Summary: The quality is between a point and shoot camera and a professional grade camera. The zoom is very good and you can select a point in the picture to focus on. The camera comes with two batteries so you have a spare when needed. A 16GB card is included but a card with a faster speed would be better.
  • Pros: wide variety of picture options
  • Cons: slightly heavy and bulky to carry around

  • Summary: This camera has many great features. The only problem is the CD manual that comes with it...for a beginner, the terminology is way over my head. Kodak needs to bring it down a little.

  • Summary: I've had a Minolta digital camera for several years. It was a good camera but I wanted to upgrade for a better zoom, bigger LCD screen, and higher picture quality. I reviewed several cameras in the process. The name Kodak drew my attention. I'm impressed with the item, the CD instruction manual is very thorough, and with a bit of practice the settings are easy to manipulate. I'm looking forward to extended us of this Kodak AZ521 camera.

  • Summary: I am a novice and the pamphlet is poor with limited information. You must be near a computer to look up information from the CD - not practical when you're out taking pictures. Cannot charge battery and cord is very short. Love the idea of this camera, but must return it.
