A generally great camera with a serious design defect.

Summary: Here is an excellent example of a superior product with a serious flaw. The good... nice fit for larger hands, good optics, good results. The bad... well that is the problem, which deserves it's own paragraph. This camera has a chronic problem with the pop-up flash failing. Unlike some similar cameras with a manual pop-up flash (Canon comes to mind), this is completely automatic - when needed it releases and pops up without manual intervention.
Excerpt: One of the key points in deciding to purchase the Kodak Easyshare P712 was the fact that it had the capability to zoom while taking video. Now that I've had a chance to take a few videos, I am really disappointed in the noise level of the zoom motor when playing back my videos on de Kodak P712.
Summary: I bought this camera to enhance my hobby of picture taking. I had this a few days now and so far I am impressed with the camera it zooming ability are fantastic, this is a great camera for beginners using a SLR system. I have research this camera and compared it with other models and all I got back was great reviews.
Excerpt: I bought the P712 9 months ago and have found it to be an excellent camera. It is extreamly feature rich and once all the features and settings are understood it takes excellent pictures. There is a large selection of acceseries available for the camera on the kodak website including external flash guns, various filters and bateries chargers etc. The only down side is that their are that many features that you realy need to take your time and learn them all.
Pros: fast autofocus completly customisable in menus Fits nicely into hand wide range of filters etc available long battery life profesional results.
Summary: Looks great, feels great, very user friendly, takes great photos, suits everyone from the know it all to the novice, a great chick puller at weddings and parties also makes my friends jealous, other than that -- FANTASTIC! Johnboy!
Pros: Colour and design, ease of use and the picture quality.
