Excerpt: This was not my first kodak digital camera purchase. I had another for years that I just loved. it was fabulous. But after several years of use it started to not work so well any longer. I decided to just get another easyshare and not even look at other brands I picked the kodak easyshare z950 because I wanted a little better camera without spending a fortune. This camera fit the bill. Let me start by saying I do love this camera.
Excerpt: We purchased this camera a few weeks ago just before a vacation because our old camera had been dropped and we wanted to be sure we had a good camera to take pictures. I was really impressed with the quality of pictures we got! Several times, I was trying to take pictures on a ship where it was incredibly windy and the camera was shaking a lot, but when the pictures came back, they weren't blurry at all! Very impressive.
Excerpt: I am a photo enthusiast and this is one of my collections!! I used to own a Sony Camera which was 3X & 7 MP. I upgraded by getting this Z950 on thanksgiving @ Ritzcamera. The best thing about this camera is its optical zoom. With 10X optical zoom, I think it is more than enough for most of my pictures. I rarely need to take photographs with more than 10x, that means if you doubt about this camera for its zooming function, you can reconsider it!!
Excerpt: We originally bought a Kodak camera six years ago when we got married to take along on our honeymoon. Well, two kids later we decided that we need to upgrade cameras for our busy boys...dont' want to miss any of those Kodak moments! Darling Hubby did a lot of looking for a few weeks about what type of camera we wanted to get and what it all needed to have. After a lot of research, we came back to a Kodak..
Excerpt: I had been using a sony and saw an ad for the Kodak Z950 and a Kodak wireless printer for less than $200 as a bundle and thought i can use an extra printer so why not..I was pleasanly surprised when I got it home and took a picture. The quality was excellent and way faster to take a picture than with our Sony.I agree the zoom could be a little better but I seem to mainly take pictures of the grandkids so it's not really that big a deal for me.
Excerpt: I bought this camera because I wanted to a new camera that was still a little compact put had a better optical zoom then my small Canon ELPH. I checked a lot of reviews on CNET and finally went with the Kodak Easyshare Z950. I love the 10X optical zoom because I can really zoom to far away objects. The picture quality is great too. The colors really pop and at 12 MP the pictures look great.
Excerpt: I think the KODAK EASYSHARE Z950 Digital Camera takes great pictures and it's easy to use. You can get outstanding shots using Kodak’s Smart Capture feature, which automatically adjust the camera settings which is a huge plus for me.. And the 10X optical zoom lens with image stabilization helps me get perfect pictures, which was one of the reason's I got this camera in the first place.. I needed something to take zoom shot's and the Z950 has a great mega zoom...
Summary: I owned this camera previously and it became damaged. I truely enjoyed it and it was easy to use. I enjoyed it so much that when the one I had was damaged the only choice I could see was to buy another. I am very pleased with this product and would purchase it again if the need for another arose.
If digital cameras have a limited user life, then pay less . . .

Summary: I am finding that my Kodak Digital Cameras decisively fail at around 5 years. My Easeyshare Z730 had a big crack on the the display and the door latch and battery clip was not holding. On my wife's EasyShare Z730, her shutter button was unresponsive 60% of the time. Since I lost my aging EasyShare Z730 while in vacation and since my wife's camera is no longer usable in a practical way, I followed my philosophy of getting more camera than before and...
Summary: I've had the Kodak Z950 for three months now. It replaced the Kodak Z730 purchased in 2005 (although I still have the older camera), and is better in every way except one. The Z950 offers a better variety of picture sizes, can shoot 720p HD video, and has an excellent zoom range - both optical and digital. I like the size and weight of the camera, although the Z730 felt a little better in the hand from the more contoured body.
