Summary: I already have a camera just like it which has been used often for at least 3 years. Since the camera is no longer being made, I wanted to replace mine with an identical one. The pictures are excellent and I know the camera; thus, I don't have to learn to operate a new one. CAC
Excerpt: 3 stars assuming dslrs as starting at 4, I have had my z for a few years now and am very happy with it for the money I spent. I have used it for snap shots and more involved artistic attempts, like floral close ups and things like that.
Summary: I owned this camera previously and it became damaged. I truely enjoyed it and it was easy to use. I enjoyed it so much that when the one I had was damaged the only choice I could see was to buy another. I am very pleased with this product and would purchase it again if the need for another arose.
Summary: I like to take pictures. I'm no professional photographer, but I took a mini course during a summer camp in high school. So, every time I get a chance at a camera, I like to take pictures with all sorts of angles and focus. This camera is amazing!
Summary: I bought the Z950 a little over a year ago. It has been a good travel camera but there are some things I did not like about the camera. Pros: Easy travel; 12 mp 10x optical zoom; light weight; 3" LCD that could be adjusted or darkened in bright daylight; CONS: Lens scratches easily; too many...

Summary: I bought Z950 in September, 2010. It worked for a year fine. Now it can no longer focus at all. It starts up with normal focus. I can zoom in and out and it stays in focus. Regrettably, as soon as I press the usual 'big button' halfway to focus, it instead blurs for as long as the camera stays on.
Summary: I've had the Kodak Z950 for three months now. It replaced the Kodak Z730 purchased in 2005 (although I still have the older camera), and is better in every way except one. The Z950 offers a better variety of picture sizes, can shoot 720p HD video, and has an excellent zoom range - both optical and...
Summary: This camera means the end of our long trip finding a good camera in this price range. We owned an older Kodak Z650, which was stolen from us. Then we tried a Fuji camera but soon turned back to Kodak with the z981. However, it was a complete nightmare!!!
Good features for the price but overexposed & yellowish images in Auto mode

Summary: (Edited Jan. 15, 2011 after further use.) I had always overlooked Kodak cameras when testing cameras in stores, mostly because I didn't think I'd like the design of their control buttons on the back.
