Still great after 5 years

skinn002, Amazon
14 November 2014
  • Summary: I still use this camera after purchasing it in 2009 for a trip to France. Two friends have since purchased the same camera because of the high quality of the photos produced by this camera. The video option is also great. Be sure to get a rechargeable battery pack.

Better than my phone.

Graham S. Exton, Amazon
30 November 2013
  • Summary: I got this in 2009 for just over $100 and it's been a bumpy ride. I was initially delighted with the versatile settings, the zoom and the quality of the pictures. Then the camera decided to go nuts - wouldn't turn on, wouldn't turn off - it became unusable. I put it aside for a year.

Basic Higher end camera

Vimal James Raj S "vimal", Amazon
4 September 2012
  • Summary: I bought this camera 2 months back and i have completed almost 1000 photos with this device. Hope this is the right time to write a review. Not a joke I bought Used-like new for $50 and it is as good as new and exceeded what ever i expected from it in terms of look and feel.

Best long zoom camera value around.

n3eg, Ebay
22 March 2012
  • Summary: Kodak's most underappreciated camera. This should be called a bridge camera, but instead is a point and shoot. It has almost all the features of a higher end fixed lens camera other than HD video and >10 megapixels.

There are better cameras available.

Amazon Customer, Amazon
28 June 2011
  • Summary: I got this camera to mate with my existing docking station after the camera that went with it got damaged. This one was ok for the first week or so but then the batteries started dying a LOT faster than "normal" and it used special batteries that had to be recharged all the time.

Better in some areas than my Canon sx10is

backupscs, Ebay
10 February 2011
  • Summary: A superior camera, and here is why- I don't like messing with controls, what I want is several presets that do exactly what I need. What I need is to be able to take pictures of home's interiors, which isn't as easy as an outside shot.

An easy to use camera with manual-like control.

sergiolcr, Ebay
29 December 2010
  • Summary: I was looking for a camera to introduce my daughter to photography without the "excessive controls" available on other cameras so i decided to go for Kodak. My first digital was a Kodak also and i liked the experience, now i found this all-in-one camera with full auto control, image stabilization...

Well built classic style with pleny of features & life

ezloopsterdog, Ebay
22 December 2010
  • Summary: This camera is well built. It is sturdy and feels good in the hands. The menus are not as fast in responding, but were are taking about milli-seconds which I don't actually count, but is noticeable. The ability to shoot good quality video is a plus.
