The EasyShare Z710 is a good camera but not worth what I paid

Excerpt: I was very excited to purchase a digital camera from Kodak that would allow me to capture both pictures and videos with one device. Although the camera is good for both, I am not 100% happy with the quality of the pictures. Also, it doesnt matter what setting I try and use I can not get pictures taken inside to be in focus unless there is a lot of light. I like the camera but would have purchased a different one if I could do it over. Also, you better purchase...

Excerpt: I am reviewing a Kodak z710 camera, It has 10 times optical zoom and 7.1 megapixels. I really have enjoyed it. It is pretty easy to use but the main problem that I have with it is taking pictures in evening light. I'm sure it is a setting that is not adjusted right but I don't have advance camera skills so I would prefer one that the auto feature was more directed toward my abilities. The picture gets very hazy and dark in even reasonable light.
Excerpt: I recently purchased this camera my first digital camera purchase with not a whole lot of money to spend i got a really good deal on this camera and figured i would give it a try really the only complaint i can have about this camera is the picture quality image on the previewer of the screen first few pictures i took i was really upset because they looked awefull later after uploading these pictures to my computer i was pleasantly suprised at the picture quality they...
Excerpt: We got this camera to upgrade from another EasyShare model, and liked it primarily for the ease of being able to zoom in.The ability of the camera to do many different functions, including a video mode, was a big plus for us. However, we did find the fuzz of the video, especially when viewed on a large screen, to be a disapointment. One thing that I loved at first was the ability to take several shots at once by holding down the shutter in the multiple shots mode. ...
Kodak Easyshare Z710 7.1 Good Features but Very Fragile
3 February 2011
Summary: I like the features of the camera very much for Ebay photo taking, but it is very fragile and expensive to have repaired. I now have (three) of the exact same Kodak Easyshare Z710 7.1 MP cameras because the least little drop on the floor destroys a major feature of it and it costs less to just buy another on Ebay rather than have the broken part replaced.I have one with the USB port pushed in and not working and a dented lens that won't go in and out properly, another...
Summary: When I first received the camera it was good. About 1 week ago it stopped working the barrel does not come out anymore. I thought it was the batteries so I brought new ones and it still doesn't work.
Pros: The video quality is better then I expected. The picture quality is great, as long as you give the camera time to focus. Definately not a quick click camera.
Cons: This camera goes through a lot of batteries, because I take a lot of pictures. There is a specific battery that this camera takes, CR-V3 and it cost $10.00 to replace. Another complaint that I have is the start up, way to slow!
